It seems the team at AH (with the help of waffle and a few others) has been and is working on upgrading the plane, trains and automobiles. Too bad this is only "eye candy" for the most part.

If they would take all this new stuff, add in the other stuff they have shown from 'TOD', bring back the strat system and maps from AH I, get rid of the three arenas and call it AH III they could end up with the best WWII type flight sim around.

NOTE: Okay, if they have a deep desire to keep multi arenas, they could make two (one going from 1939 - 1943, and the other 1941 - 1945). This way there would be a good overlap so that people could fly the older planes yet still have some of the newer stuff at the same time.They would also need to upgrade the servers.

With this idea, and them adding in the AI driven planes from 'TOD', everyone could/would have a chance of fighting both PvP and PvA at any turn. I think it would add a new dimension to the game and keep it a bit fresher.

Ya I hope they improve the strat system at least some in the next release. I miss the days of closing down the front for 30 mins with some well placed bombs!

I remember them well! The 613th could close the front and take the bases. I remember one night when we kept the front down all night and took 5 bases (or was it more?) in something like 3 hours. The 17s, 24s and Lancs roamed the skies and the goons dropped from the heavens. AND, that was on a BIG map too That kind of reminds me of an old song from the 1960s. "Those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end....."
